Patrick Wildman is a dedicated and compassionate professional school counselor with a strong commitment to student advocacy, academic achievement, and personal development. With close to a decade of experience in education, Patrick brings a comprehensive and empathetic approach to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. His work is grounded in the belief that every student deserves equitable access to resources, guidance, and opportunities that empower them to reach their full potential.

Patrick earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastern Illinois University, where he developed a deep foundation in educational psychology, counseling techniques, and school-based mental health support. His academic preparation, combined with extensive field experience, has enabled him to effectively guide students through academic planning, college and career readiness, and the challenges of adolescence.

At Beardstown High School, Patrick serves as a school counselor and a vital member of the leadership team. In this role, he has led initiatives to strengthen student support services, implement evidence-based counseling practices, and promote a school-wide culture of inclusion and resilience. His collaborative work with educators, families, and community stakeholders reflects his strong commitment to student-centered practices and holistic education.

Beyond the school setting, Patrick is actively involved in shaping the future of the counseling profession through his leadership in the Illinois School Counselor Association (ISCA). He has served in various executive roles, contributing to statewide advocacy efforts, professional development programming, and policy initiatives that enhance the role of school counselors in Illinois. His leadership reflects both his passion for the profession and his dedication to elevating the standards and visibility of school counseling statewide.
