Ms. Sherri McLaughlin

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Sherri has devoted her life to counseling and mentoring adolescents. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Journalism and Public Relations.  After teaching in central Illinois, Sherri earned her Master’s Degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois.

Sherri has been a member of ICA, ISCA, ICDA, and ASCA for over two decades serving on the ISCA board for four years as President Elect, President, and Past President.  She is currently serving on an ISCA board committee for Professional Development.  She is a member of the UIS Education Committee, LLCC Radiology Board Committee, CEO Board Member, Two Rivers Educational System Counselors Committee, and JHS Programs of Study Committee.  For the past four years, Sherri has served on the PACE Committee Task Force and the State of Illinois Transitional Math Task Force. 

Sherri is currently a school counselor at Jacksonville High School and is active throughout her community. She is a member of the Morgan Scott Suicide Prevention Coalition, the Morgan Scott Substance and Misuse Prevention Coalition, Listening to Youth, and SADD Chapter.
